Inside Football (Newspaper)

The "Inside Football" newspaper was launched at the start of the 1970-71 season. Articles from writers & journalists such as Hugh McIlvanney and Patrick Collins sat along side columns from the likes of Bill Shankly, Brian Kidd, Bob Wilson & Mike Summerbee.  The 'paper carried quality articles and features, even including non-league coverage, comprehensive match reports and reviews, statistics and a pools tips section.

As of March 1972, the magazine Striker was incorporated into the 'paper, leading to an increase in pages. Like a number of other publications, it fell victim to the power crises of the winter of 1973-74 and publication ceased at the end of March 1974.

We have acquired a selection of these newspapers, commencing with the first issue from August 1970, running through to early 1972, with the majority being in excellent condition given the more rapid ageing process of newspapers when compared with magazines, though naturally there are a handful with minor nicks and tears. Details of the main front page headline or feature subject/photograph are listed against each date.

WITH THE EXCEPTION OF ISSUE 1 (15th August 1970, which is priced at £5)  ALL "INSIDE FOOTBALL" NEWSPAPERS ARE PRICED AT £2 EACH
